SECRETARY'S REPORT: Minutes for the regular meeting held on March 8, 2018 were
mailed to members before the meeting. A motion was made by Jill Allen and seconded by
Richard Halpern to accept the minutes as presented. The motion carried.
TREASURER'S REPORT & BUDGET UPDATE: Mrs. Botsford stated that the accountant
provided a Budget to Actual report but that the numbers are still based on Fiscal Year 2017 since
DHCD has not yet approved the budget. Mrs. Botsford reported that DHCD reverted the budget
once because of a small type-o in the executive director salary schedule (which doesn't affect the
budget monetarily at all). The chair signed off on the corrected schedule and it was re-submitted
to DHCD. Mrs. Botsford reviewed the Budget to Actual report with the board.
The warrants for signature tonight are for the month of March 2018 and total as follows:
$52,534.34 for 4001, $ 46,659.00 for MRVP, $30,014.70 for Asher's Path Apartments, $
7,711.74 for HAP, and $11,313.39 for Great Cove Community.
We have residents with balances at all sites. Most are just small balances and should be paid by
next week.
We are 100% occupied at Asher's Path, Breezy Acres, and Homeyer Village. We have one GCC
vacancy at Great Cove Community with another coming in the next couple weeks. Carol is in
the process of qualifying applicants.
Mrs. Botsford commented that we still have a bank account with Cape Cod Five for our inactive
non-profit, the Mashpee Affordable Housing Trust. There is a balance of approximately
$1,860.00. A short discussion ensued regarding the status of the non-profit. Mrs. Botsford will
look more into how to close it out, if that's what the board decides to do.
A motion was made by Jill Allen and seconded by Richard Halpern to accept the
Treasurer's Report as presented. The motion carried.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT & UPDATES:
Mrs. Botsford stated that she had mailed her report for March and added the following:
• She distributed reports from the Asher's Path MassHousing Review and the Great
Cove Community review. If there are any questions, let her know.
• She also distributed the work plan that she had to do for DHCD, following the
management agreement with Mattapoisett. If there are any questions, let her know. It
was mentioned how extensive it was.
• Carver board voted to extend our contract for 5 years, with the higher fee. It was sent
to DHCD for final approval. $37,266.00 is the annual fee.
• Mrs. Botsford and Ms. Mitchell will be attending the MassNAHRO conference in
May: May 20—23.
• Annual evaluations have been done for all staff members.
