MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING - SEPTEMBER 2, 1998 PAGE 6 <br /> • Parking areas and ground cleaned by maintenance staff before <br /> school opens. <br /> • Light futures inside and parking areas -- light bulbs and <br /> transformers replaced and fixtures repaired. <br /> .t this. point, Dr. DeMoura discussed the high school shelving that <br /> has loosened. Brackets are being considered to support the <br /> shelves. Discussion followed on who would be responsible for <br /> payment of repairs. It was noted that excess monies returned to <br /> the Town from the high school building project. <br /> Various staff requests are Being completed. <br /> Discussion followed regarding computers in the elementary <br /> schools. Currently, they are in the testing phase. Dr. IeMoura <br /> will do a total school system count of the number of computers in <br /> each school. <br /> Mrs. Lynch noted telephone coverage in the Superintendent's office <br /> when the Superintendent or his secretary is out of the office. She <br /> felt there should be a back-up system in place. Dr. DeMoura will <br /> follow-up with Merrimack Communications. <br /> 7.6 FY99Budget Review i-- Ms. Macdonald expressed concern <br /> over the heating sabring she thought there was not enough money <br /> for natural gas payments. Also, she had concern over the <br /> electrici-ty especially at the high school with night football games, <br /> night practices, etc. Mrs. Cook suggested revisiting at the October <br /> meeting line items 4130 (Utility services) and 4120 (Keating <br /> Buildings). <br /> Mrs. Lynch suggested documenting any budget transfers as they <br /> occur as the last page in the regular budget. Dr. DeMoura said <br /> recommended transfers will be brought up at the October meeting <br /> once school has opened. <br /> Mrs. Lynch asked if we were going to continue with the Crossing <br /> Guard at the intersection of Route 151 and Old Barnstable le f o 1. <br /> She asked to have the Crossing Guard more visible. <br />
