Chief Ridgeway was present to review with the Board his report regarding Di sp tch i C m u i Cat i o Needs for the Fire & Rescue Department. The Board agreed to postpone discussion of this matter until a report is received- from the Police DepEirtment indicating ars estimate of communications equ i m t and personnel needed. Mr. Gottlieb was not present for, -this discu-1-7ps-lon. ` OTHER OLD BUSINESS 1 . Mr , Carter moved to execuitethe Special Election War ran of December 3 , 1988. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Mr . Lawrence was in favor. Mr. Gottlieb was not present for the vote. NEW BUSINESS 1 * The Board noted a letter f r''o William Hanrahan, Chairman , Board d of Appeals regarding the passing of Manuel E . Costa, Jr. ' . Mr . Car-ter moved to appoint Cheryl H wv r as a regular member to the Board of Appeals . Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Mr. Lawrence was in favor. Mr. Gottlieb was not prestent for the vote. 3 . Mr. Carter moved to allow $150. 00 -to be expended, from the Out-of--State Travel Account so that Detective Juvenile Off i cer Lawrence K. Frye rnav attend i e Board of Governors Seminar to be held on Friday, February 1 , 1989 i y Connecticut. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Mr. Lawrence was in favor. Mr .
