it Board of Selectmen Minutes March 11, 2002 NEW BUSINESS: Appointment to Cultural Council: The Selectmen were in receipt-ofa letter of interest from.Lolita McCray dated February 27, 2002 to serve on the Mashpee Cultural Arts Council. Ms. McCray was a noted former member. Motion made by Selectman Marsters to appoint Lolita McCray to the Mashpee Cultural Arts Council. Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Appointment to Regional Wastewater Implementation Committee: Correspondence was received from the Barnstable County Commissioners dated February 8, 2002 requesting the Selectmen recommend a representative to serve on the new Regional Wastewater Implementation Committee which Barnstable County will be forming. Due to the nature of the issues to be discussed, it is recommended that the Board of Health be consulted with regards to representation. The Selectmen agreed to request the Sewer Commission provide input into the process. The matter was deferred at this time. Acceptance of Resignation—Herring Warden: The Selectmen were in receipt of a resignation from Perry Ellis dated March 6, 2002 as Herring Warden effective March 31, 2002. Mr. Ellis recommended that David Morrissey be appointed to the position. Mr. Morrissey is currently a Mashpee waterway assistant and has time available for the position. In other business, Mr. Ellis requested the Selectmen consider moving funds in the amount of$1,000 from the repair account to the deputy salary account. There was not action taken in response to this request. Motion made by Selectman Marsters to accept the resignation of Perry Ellis as Herring Warden effective March 31, 2002 and appoint David Morrissey as Herring Warden effective April 1, 2002. Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0.
