McQuaid stated, "The Selectmen's office has asked me to provide there with <br /> all. copies of reports from AWARD Environmental which will be sent to Town Counsel." <br /> Proposed Car wash Jack "Leary and Attorney Douglas Murphy <br /> Mr. Jack O'Leary(Eng. 'Tyree Consultant) and Attorney Douglas Murphy were in <br /> attendance. <br /> Attorney Murphy stated, `ewe did receive a special permit from the Board of <br /> Appeals." "It is a 100% self-contained systems intended to recirculate the water that's in <br /> it.V' `ewe do need a 2000 holding tank to contend with any emergencies or anticipated <br /> overflows." "we are required to file with the D. .P." <br /> Mr. 0"Leary stated, "The car wash building has a internal flow gain which goes <br /> into'a mud and grease trap and there are two reclaim tanks." "At the end of the second <br /> reclaim tank there is an inlet where the water is pumped up back into the car wash building <br /> where it is farther filtered and recycled." "The water remains entirely within the system <br /> and cores back into the car wash." "only in the event of some kind of power failure <br /> would it flow out into the holding tank." "'The holding tank is classified as a industrial <br /> wastewater holding tank y the D. .P. which requires a permit." "We have a contract <br /> with a hauler who will be inspecting the mud and grease trap wont every three months or <br /> as necessary." "At that time he will also be inspecting the holding tank to see if there 's <br /> any fluid in it. <br /> Mr. McQuaid questioned, "won't you be using clean water to rinse? <br /> Mr. o'Lear r responded, `No, it's mechanic ll.y filtered so it is 100% reclaimed."' <br /> "There is approximately 5 to 10 gallons a day of new water introduced into the system."" <br /> "This is not a tunnel type car wash." "It doesn't do a really high volume." "You drive in <br /> and remain stationary and a wand goes around." "There are no brushes and there is no <br /> contact.' <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented, "Could you explain the oil and gas separation unit.' <br /> Mr. O'Leary stated, `The first tank in the system is both a mud trap and oil <br /> separator."
