Executive Secretary stated that the Fire Chief and <br /> he were working o this.. <br /> Chm, Garland said that he- was glad to see the retraction in the paper that <br /> the lifeguards had not quit. <br /> On-the-the reference from the Fire Chief that it is conceivable-. t--_,.the new <br /> candidates for patrolman's position will not be on duty for six months due <br /> to police academy training. Chm. Garland suggest that they hire trained <br /> police officers . <br /> Board approved the review of articles meeting for September 7, 1983 t. 7: p.m. <br /> Oft the second night of the ton meeting Board recommend it be held on <br /> Tuesday the 13th of September. <br /> Chm. Garland stated that the Administrative Meeting of September 7 , 1983 <br /> is to held at 8 : 30 a,m, not 8:00 a,m. <br /> Chm. Garland asked -t'hat Sel . Terry serve as the representative of the Board <br /> to the marina project. Sel. Terry agreed. <br /> Chan. Garland said on the issue of Mr. Fitzgerald the Executive Secretary <br /> was to take whatever action he thought was best. <br /> Chm. Garland read the letter of appreciation from Mrs. fancy H. Suppe <br /> regarding Wendy Rubin and her department. <br /> el. Hanson also read a Letter of appreciation front Mrs . Cortland agelin <br /> to Wendy- Rubin referring to the parking- at South Cape Beach. <br /> Chm., Garland asked if there was any other business to come before the Board. <br /> Executive Secretary said that he wanted to thanked Mrs , Joyce Mason and Mrs . <br /> Marilyn Farrel and Muriel McGrath for their help in getting the application <br /> for Sell-Help Grant ready on Tuesday. <br /> Fames Priestly asked Chm. Garland to be recognized. He asked that <br /> .the Town send a letter to a credit bureau clearing his name. He said <br /> that he has received a bill for '$18. 00 for medical care while he was the <br /> Fire Chief. Executive Secretary said that a letter was sent to Mr. Priestly <br /> when the bill came in to ask him to clarify what it was for and Mr, Priestly <br /> never re'plled. Mr. Priestly said that he went through the channels but <br /> nothing has happened and he would like this cleared up. S l. T.erry said <br /> the Town will pay b.ut the Town needs to know where the bill originated. <br /> Chm. Garland said that the Town would like to solve this . Chm., Garland <br />
