« p Board of Selectmen Page Five Regular Meeting Monday o August 17, 1987 paving, drain cleaning, and sand removal on the followingroads : Shore Drive , Beachwood, Elm, Lantern Lane , Scituate Road, S anturt Pond Road, Cranberry Avenue , Tracey -Lane , wills work Road, Poppone- sset Island Road (Island Side ) . Mro Gottlieb roved that the Board Of Selectmen authorize the expenditure of $3 ,50-0.00. for emergency repairs for roads- listed and repairs described by the Director of the Department. 1 r. Caster seconded the motion. The vote was una- nimous . 5. T own t s Medical Group_ Insurance . A memorandum dated Augus t ' 6 , 1987 has been received from the Personnel Board requesting that the Board of S le toren set policy on allowing appointed indi- viduals such as Assistant Harbor Masters , Assistant Shellfish wardens , etc, who work on an annual basis and are paid year-round , to parti- cipate a.rti- cipate in the Town's Medical Insurance Plan. This 'item was deferred o the next regular meeting of the Board as Mr. Gottlieb is ars Assistant Harbor Master and cannot act on this issue . 7. Bewdoin Road. A letter dated August Z1 , 1987 has been received by the Board from Marie Sca.11ey. Mrs . Scalley inquires as o why no hearing was held by the Planning Board prior to the July 2 , Special Town Meeting regarding the acceptance by the Town of the layout of that road. Mrs . Thomas stated that a hearing was held but that it had not been closed pending the necessity for further information. The hearing was held over two month ago and Mrs ., Thomas stated , 'seven though the Planning Board may not have continued this hearing at a subsequent date , after forty-five days a moot issue , It is considered closed" Request to move buildi Mrse Thomas stated that this request involves the moving of a building from Central .Ave nue out of Town. As the person raking the request was not present to discuss this matter, the Board members present unanimously agreed to defer this item to the next regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen. 9. Town Dock poss ibilit of « Ir. Carter suggested that the Harbor baster and ether interested departments or persons in- vestigate the possibility of and feasibility of having a Town dock. Handicapped Access Committee . Mr. Gottlieb -stated that Mrs c oniga.l of Pimlico Pond Road has expressed an interest inserv- ing on the Handicapped Access Committee , He said that the Director -of the Parks and Recreation Committee has recommended the appointment of Mr. McGonigal after discussing the ratter with him, Mr. Gottlieb moved that the Board. of Selectmen appoint Mrs McGonigal as a. member of the Handicapped Access Committee .
