The doorways off the second floor, based on the original plans, show there were :. <br /> no exterior doors designed into the building. There are no records of permitting done for <br /> the two deeps or the two doors. He also explained that because this is a modular home, he <br /> doesn"t know if there are headers for those doors. In order for him to do the inspection,-the <br /> area of sheet rock around the door might need to be opened because it was not part of the <br /> original modular when built. <br /> Ms. Avant said the second floor was designed to be finished but they did not finish the <br /> second floor and built the accessory apartment instead. She said the second floor is heated <br /> and. insulated. The storage area has heat and electrical. She will provide the date for the- <br /> plan <br /> heplan when she consults with her builder. <br /> Mr. Furbush wanted to know the date of the plan that was submitted for the accessory <br /> apartment* He doesn't know if it is accurate. Also, he wanted to know if the percentage _ <br /> area for the accessory apailment was met under the bylaw. He does not want the storage <br /> area to become a bedroom after the fact. <br /> Mr. Blaisdell addressed the applicant and said based on the comments submitted by the <br /> Building Inspector, he did not feel comfortable moving forward until the Building <br /> Commissioner has inspected the home. <br /> Mr. Mendoza addressed the Board asking if they we-re requesting that the Building <br /> Department make a full inspection of the property, and return to the Board with a list of <br /> questions and concerns, and include the application for the accessory apartment due to the <br /> non-existent window for the bedroom. Mr. Mendoza said that he calculated the accessory <br /> apartment area to be 926 sq. ft. <br /> There were no more comments from the Board and no comments from the audience. <br /> Mfr. Furbush suggested to the Board that the application be continued until the February <br /> 145 2018 hearings,to allow the applicant time for the home to be inspected by the Building <br /> Commissioner- and to confirm his list of issues and concerns to be addressed with the <br /> Board. <br /> MIs. S a.ngeleer nude a notion to continue the hearing until February 14,2018.Mr.Blaisdell <br /> seconded, yes, Mr. Furbush yes, Mfr. DeBarros yes, and Mr. Gould yes.
