The Hearing notice was read aloud for informational purposes. <br /> 1t was disclosed the tom betterment is$513,912, and the nmimum cost to be <br /> borne by 84 property owners is$6,118. Homeowners have the option to pay.the <br /> cost up front or spread it over a period of twenty years. To move forward with the <br /> process, it is necessary for the residents to complete a second petition signed by at <br /> least 51%of the Property owners. The deadline for the petition submission is the <br /> first Monday in July for the October Town Meeting warrant. Blank petitions were <br /> available for dissemination at the public meeting. <br /> The Board opened the Hearing to obtain comment. <br /> Michael Purcell, 80 Shields Road asked about fencing aid-plantings situated near <br /> the road. He was informed by the Director of Public works the Town would be <br /> re-building the road as it currently exists. Residents would be notified to stake <br /> their projects. At this time,the'fon,will not be taking an easement for the entire <br /> right of way. However, in the future there may be plans for a sidewalk, and <br /> sewers: <br /> Marianne Rothschild of 34 Nobska Road asked about Hemlock Street and sued <br /> the road is in poor condition. It was noted that Hemlock Street is moving forward <br /> to the October Town Meeting. The second petition was obtained by a resident for <br /> dissemination purposes. <br /> Don Feed, 33 Tobisset Street asked about the twenty year assessment. I <br /> response,the Board indicated if the project i voted upon at'Poen Meeting, the <br /> assessment will automatically appear on the tax bill upon project completion. <br /> Being'no father comment,the Board motioned to close the Public Hearing. <br /> ' r <br /> Notion wade by Selectman Taylor to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Moll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Richardson,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Taylor,yes Selectman Cahalane,Yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes _Opposed, none <br />
