11 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 5, 2018 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Update on "Help Keep Mashpee Clean" Project: John Cotton: <br /> The first annual "Help Keep Mashpee Clean"project will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. <br /> Locations identified by the Director of Public Works include; Mercantile Road, Industrial Drive, Ashumet <br /> Road, Algonquin Avenue north of Route 151 and Route 28 from the Barnstable Town Line to Noisy Hole <br /> Road and from Donna's Lane to the Falmouth Town Line. <br /> The Boy Scouts are assisting with this initiative and public volunteerism is being sought. Trash bags from the <br /> Sheriff's Department will be provided. Safety vests and gloves are recommended. The rear of the Mashpee <br /> Town Hall parking lot is the central meting location for this endeavor. <br /> Town Manager Rodney Collins: <br /> Discussion and Approval of Annual Closure of Town Hall for Cleaning December 12 2018): <br /> Rodney C. Collins, Town Manager respectfully requested the Board of Selectmen approve the annual closure <br /> of the Mashpee Town Hall for organization and cleaning purposes. The Town employees will essentially be <br /> working, and Town Hall would be closed to the public. The proposed date of the closure is December 12, <br /> 2018. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the closure of the Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday, <br /> December 12, 2418 for organization and cleaning. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed, none <br /> Update on the Sandwich, Falmouth and Mashpee Interintmici ata 1 Agreement on Wastewater: <br /> The Town of Mashpee in pursuing opportunities for the past 3-4 years has made arrangements to further <br /> discuss potential options of utilizing wastewater capacity at Joint Base Cape Cod. This Friday, Selectman <br /> Gottlieb and Selectman O'Hara will be meeting with area representatives in continued pursuit of this <br /> possibility. Results of the meeting will be reported to the full Board at the next meeting. <br /> Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Schedule: <br /> The FY2020 Capital Improvement (CIP) Schedule was disseminated to the Board. Review of capital requests <br /> will commence on December 5 & 6, 2018 with tentative deliberations to begin on December 6, 2018. <br /> In response to the request of Ms. Fallon earlier this evening,the possibility of a community center will be <br /> discussed. If Ms. Fallon is unable to attend this meeting she was urged to remit communication to the CIP <br /> with respect to this regard. <br />
