Sewer Conumssion. The Chair stated that membership for the Water Environment Federation <br /> totaled $123. The narrative included a budget request for$1.33. The Chair asked that <br /> Commissioners share any comments regarding the text of the narrative no later than next <br /> Wednesday. The Chair also highlighted some budget issues that would appear in the narrative. <br /> Mr. Santos made a motion to submit the$133 budget request. Mr. Lyons,seconded the <br /> motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> New Developmentsisting Developments Requiring Wastewater'Treatment Plants <br /> Ma.shpee village—pursuing their oven treatment plant and discharge permit although open to <br /> cooperation with adjacent properties. Facility shared with Assisted Living on adjacent land may <br /> be possibility (see below). <br /> -Summer-wood—no news. <br /> -Stratford Fonds—Completed treatment plant improvements. <br /> -Wampanoag village 40B project by Wampanoag Tribe—40K gpd(RBQ treatment plant <br /> constructed in advance of 40B approval due to federal funding conditions. Will be required to <br /> tie in neighboring properties to meet DEP"`zero net nitrogen" rule, possibly including Town Hall <br /> area. DEP will only enforce cc <br /> cno net" after 9900 gpd exceeded. Plant is complete but no <br /> development has been connected to it, so is not in operation. <br /> -Cotuit Meadows 40 in Barnstable)—Zenon NBR VVWTP in operation. Nursing home in <br /> 1 .la hpee tied in to meet DEP `aero net nittr gen" policy. Shellback Place in Mashpee has right to <br /> connect in future. Itial total N<2 mg/l. <br /> -potential new 40 /mixed use on Haney property between 151 and old Barnstable Rd. Will <br /> need treatment plant. Interested in cooperation with other area private WWTI proposals or <br /> municipal plant. Possibly tie in Lakeside village mobile home park. No recent news. <br /> -Concept of possible assisted living facility at the corm of Route 151 and old Barnstable Road <br /> necessitating wastewater treatment and potential coordination With adjacent properties unless <br /> tied in to Southport . No recent activity. The market analysis is shoving that Mashpe <br /> was a weaker option for assisted living as many people were returning areas closer to their <br /> children. <br /> OTHER ITEMS <br /> -Change Regular Meeting Time to Tuesdays-There was some,discu ssion regarding conflicting <br /> meeting times. The Chair suggested reviewing the calendar for next year to check into <br /> availability and recommended meeting to avoid con icting with ConsCorn meetings.- The Chair <br /> followed up with f nner Sewer Commission candidate, Joyce Hosford, who did not respond. <br /> -Reorganization-It was recommended that�&. Fudala remain as Chair, Mr. Klenert remain as <br /> Vice-Chair and b4r. Gurnee as Clerk. There was consensus to maintain the status quo. The <br /> Chair shared the 1305 policy requiring that Chairs serve no longer than one year and spoke With <br /> Selectman Richardson who indicated that the status quo would be acceptable given the technical <br /> nature of the Commission. <br /> Mr. Santos made a motion to make Tom Fudala the Clair for another year. Mr. Lyons <br /> seconded the notion. <br /> Mr. Lyons made a motion to make Oskar lGenert the Vice-Chair. Mr. Santos seconded the � <br /> motion. <br />
