There was discussion regarding the costs' f <br /> dredging versus the dost of sewring as well as studying the depth of the muck. Mr. York <br /> recommended that the Waterways Commission may be a good source for investigating the issue <br /> further. Chairman Fudala recommended going to WENR for more information. There was <br /> also discussion regarding ben hic flux and a scientific study being led by VM01. There was <br /> agreement that it should remain on the list as a consideration. <br /> Eco-Toilets-Falmouth was pursuing a demonstration project for eco-toilets but Mr. <br /> Gregg stated that it was still pending. Mr. Gobell inquired about the effectiveness of nitrogen <br /> removal using the eco-toilets. Mr. Gregg stated that eco-toilets represented a number of <br /> technologies to include urine diversion, composting and incineration. Mr. Gregg stated that <br /> nitrogen removal would be dependent upon location and sub-watershed and their performance <br /> and technology was still being considered. It was suggested that all residents would likely need <br /> to use therm in order to have an impact. Mr. Gregg recommended consideration of an area where <br /> it could be used, likely a chronic septic system issue area Vnth nitrogen sensitivity. "There was <br /> discussion whether eco-toilets could be mandated and it was suggested that it would be <br /> challenge to encourage the majority of residents to utilize eco-toilets. <br /> Effluent Pipeline-There were plans for discharge to be seat from the Transfer Station to <br /> willowbend or Back road. <br /> Discharge Sites-fir. Santos inquired about the Transfer Station being used for discharge <br /> with a capped landfill.
