10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> December 17, 2018 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Approval of Appointment to the Shellfish Commission; Daryl Christensen: <br /> Correspondence was received from Ashley Fisher; Shellfish Constable dated December 6, 2018 <br /> recommending the appointment of Daryl Christensen to the Shellfish.Commission. The <br /> Commission at their November 13, 2018 meeting conducted interviews and voted unanimously to <br /> recommend the appointment based on qualifications and work experience. Mr. Christensen has been <br /> attending the Shellfish Commission meetings. <br /> Darly Christensen was in attendance to discuss his interest in shellfish resources and using shellfish <br /> to reduce nitrogen loads in the estuaries. Mr. Christensen has professional experience in shellfish <br /> research and a broad range of experience in natural resource management. Mr. Christensen is a <br /> graduate of the University of Wyoming with a degree in Wildlife Conservation and Game <br /> Management and Zoology. Professionally, Mr. Christensen has worked as a Fishery Biologist and <br /> was employed by the National Marine Fisheries Service in Woods Hole as Chief in the Fisheries <br /> Statistics and Economic Branch. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to appoint Daryl Christensen to the Shellfish <br /> Commission. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Gottlieb. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed, none <br /> Discussion and Approval of Appointment to the 150th Anniversary Committee: Sean Eagan <br /> Mashpee attorney Sean Eagan was in attendance to request the Board's consideration for <br /> appointment to the Mashpee 1501h Anniversary Committee. Mr. Eagan indicated he lives and works <br /> in the Town of Mashpee and would like to give back to the community. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to appoint Sean Eagan to the 150th Anniversary <br /> Committee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed, none <br />
