9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> December 17, 2018 <br /> Public Hearing: Request for Temporary Closure;New Seabury Properties, LLC d/b/a <br /> New Seabury Country Club, Restaurant and Snack Bar; Chris Card: <br /> The Board of Selectmen opened the Public Hearing on the request of New Seabury Properties, LLC, <br /> d/b/a New Seabury Country Club to close for major structural renovations and enhancement along <br /> with winter deep cleaning as follows; <br /> Restaurant: Effective January 1, 2019 through April 30, 2019 (the hours of operation will expand <br /> each month as the season approaches) <br /> Snack Bar: Effective January 1, 2019 through March 30, 2019 (The Snack Bar will re-open <br /> March 30, 2019 for operation Saturdays and Sundays if weather permits). <br /> The Hearing notice was read aloud into the record as required. Attorney Robert Mills was in <br /> attendance with Chris Card, President& General Manager and Pedro Gonzales, Food& Beverages <br /> Manager to review the closure request with the Board of Selectmen. It was disclosed the <br /> renovations deemed significant will take an estimated 3-4 months to complete. <br /> Being no comment,the Board motioned as follows; <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed, none <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Temporary Closure of New Seabury <br /> Properties d/b/a New Seabury Country Club and Restaurant& Snack Bas as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed, none <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Garner Bogs/Upper Child's River Restoration Project—Designated as a Priority Project: <br /> It was announced the Garner Bogs/Upper Child's River restoration project has been designated as a <br /> Priority Project through the Department of Fish & Game's division of Ecological Restoration. This <br /> initiative would open doors for the project, provide technical support and lead to significant grant <br /> funding. It was agreed Ken Bates of the Waterways Commission and the Conservation Office would <br /> receive a letter of recognition from the Board of Selectmen for this beneficial environmental <br /> endeavor. <br />
