MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> DECISION FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> Petitioner, Katarina Kumbatiadis <br /> 439 Nathan Ellis Highway Unit 6 <br /> Owner of record: Brickyard Marketplace Nominee Trust <br /> Mashpee, MA(Map 72 Parcel 23) 02649 <br /> SP-2018-57 <br /> Mr. Mendoza had a conversation with the Health Agent and he has no issues <br /> because it's been an established business. This is just a change of ownership. <br /> Mr.Furbush asked the applicant how the daycare business works.Katarina said that <br /> she provides daycare for half-day or a full-day (4 hrs. or 8 hrs.). She said the dogs are <br /> inside, but are in one area. She said she generally has one or two dogs at a time. <br /> Mr. Goldstein read the Board of Health comments into the record. <br /> Mr. Furbush asked what happens with the dog waste. Katarina said she has bags <br /> and regular trash dumpster in the back. <br /> Mr. Furbush read the special permit requirement bylaw. He asked how they will <br /> handle the noise. <br /> Mr. Mendoza said if noise complaints are submitted by the abutting businesses, <br /> they will need to return to the Zoning Board. <br /> Mr. Blaisdell read the Conservation comments into the record. No wetlands <br /> jurisdiction. <br /> Mr. Furbush read the Inspection Department comments into the record. <br /> There were no abutters present. There were no more comments from the Board. <br /> In view of the foregoing, the Board determined the Petitioner met the criteria for a <br /> Special Permit. Upon motion duly made and seconded at the Public Hearings on <br /> Wednesday, December 12,2018,the Zoning Board of Appeals voted unanimously to issue <br /> a Special Permit to Katarina Kumbatiadis under Chapter 40A Section 9 and §174-25 E (7) <br /> of the Zoning Bylaws to allow for a dog grooming and dog day care business on property <br /> located in C2 Zoning District, at 439 Nathan Ellis Highway, Unit 6, (Map 72 Parcel 23), <br /> Mashpee, MA, (Owner of record: Brickyard Marketplace Nominee Trust) with the <br /> following conditions; <br /> 1. No overnight boarding. <br /> 2. No more than five (5) dogs on any given day, at any given time in the daycare. <br /> 3.
