She suggested having the $2800 used for transportation.
Thanks for Giving Awards
The Director discussed the Thanks for Giving Awards and asked if this could be made
into an as needed award and she will report back with some ideas.
It was discussed finding a volunteer to be a marketing person to promote the work of the
Human Services Department as well as the Mashpee Substance Use Task Force. The
objective is to raise awareness.
CORD Mobile Food Pantry Discussion
The Director stated that the CORD Mobile Food Pantry would like to have a presence on
the Upper Cape and wonders if Mashpee could have a type of pilot program. She noted
all we would need is volunteers to go to the bus and deliver to homes where residents are
homebound due to disability or new moms without transportation. Frank Fantasia said a
volunteer could go to the food pantry and deliver it. The Director stated she will work
out a more formal proposal.
Update—Mashpee Substance Use Task Force
The Director reported the Task Force decided to move the Drop-In Night to the Library
starting in June, which is the Task Force's One Year Anniversary. The date will stay the
same, first Tuesday of the month from 4 to 7. The committee members reviewed the
budget proposal.
