The motion carried.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT&UPDATES
Mrs. Botsford stated that she had mailed her reports for November & December and had a few items to
add:
• A notice was received from DHCD (forwarded via email) advising that Ms. Phillips has been
selected to be a member of the RCAT team.
• It has been a very busy month preparing documents and getting thea to the auditors for both
the Asher's Path audit and the AUP for our state programs.
0 Mr. Laporte and I met with Michelle Tobey of the M ashpee vela m pa coag Tribe to hear her
concerns. She will be placed on the February agenda to come before the board as well. Carol
Mitchell took notes at our meeting this past week.
Mr. Laporte and Mrs. Botsford briefly reviewed the meeting with members and the three items that Ms.
Tobey is interested in being heard on. Mr. Laporte reviewed the votes taken in September with regard to
the three items. At the February meeting, she will be given the opportunity to be heard by the whole
membership. No vote is expected to be taken on anything at that time; the purpose is to hear her
concerns.
• All W-2s and 1099s have been processed.
• I've submitted our annual request to dispose of records. That usually takes about a month to get
processed.
• Great Cove Quarterly reports for quarter end 12-31-16 have been submitted.
Mrs. Botsford also gave an update on things that are going or with MassNAHRO/DHCD, particularly with
the Housing Committee and Executive Director Contract guidelines issued by DHCD. Mrs. Botsford
reminded the board that the Housing Committee is a sub-committee of MassI AH ISO that she sits on. The
committee meets monthly with DHCD to go over various issues of interest to housing authorities, There
are a total of 19 members if all are present and DHCD usually brings 4-8 staff members. Mrs. Botsford
was on vacation and unable to attend the last Housing Committee meeting in December but it was a
pretty explosive meeting. After the meeting DHCD Informed MassNAHRO that they did not want to meet
again until there was a plan in place for having a more organized, well-run meeting. Housing Committee
met today without DHCD and had a lengthy discussion on how to proceed. Members also had some
concerns particularly around DHCD not providing documents ahead of time to give time to review and
comment, After discussing., a vote was token that the committee continue to meet monthly without DHCD
after we've received agenda items from DHCD (in addition to our own iters). The committee will discuss
items and come to a consensus on our standing/opinions. A sub-committee of about s-B people will be
Page 2 of 3
