l <br /> 4 <br /> CRTA could provide a van and driver, St Vincent De Paul's could provide a volunteer <br /> to load and ride on the van and deliver the groceries to the recipient's front door, and get <br /> back on the van to be dropped off at the end of the loop back to the church. <br /> The Director noted the people in the group of recipients would need to be vetted. She is <br /> planning to develop a form to service persons that are-disabled and unable to leave their <br /> home to get food and under the age of 60. She would also play on advertising the <br /> program to let the community know about the service. <br /> Torn Cahir gave an overview of the Cape Cod Regional Authority and noted they were <br /> governed by Massachusetts General Laws 161B. Paula George explained the workings <br /> of the CCRTA, its ridership, its drivers, and trips made on a daily basis. <br /> Torn Cahir said Coreen Brinckeroff from.the Cape Organization for the lights of the <br /> Disabled (CORD)has made this same request to deliver food and CCRTA provided them <br /> with a van for their program and recently with a second van and he offered to provide one <br /> of these vans to St. Vincent De Paul's food pantry. Frank Fantasia stated since there is <br /> already a facility in place,there is no need to re-invent the wheel and suggested spearing <br /> to Coreen Brinckeroff from CORD. He said this would require cooperation and <br /> hopefully we can all work together., <br /> The Director stated she would contact Coreen Brinckeroff from CORD and lot her know <br /> what the'committee is thinking and see if we can all worIc together and will invite her to <br /> our next meeting.. She thanked `Worn Cahir and Paula George for coming to the meeting <br /> today. <br /> 2. Thanks For Giving Awards <br /> The Director noted the Thanks for Giving Awards are given to an individual, company, <br /> and/or organization. She nominated the Group "Parents Supporting Parents".- The <br /> Director explained that they are parents who have a family member or someone they love <br /> who is struggling with Substance Use Disorder, She suggested honoring the work they <br /> do and the support they give to the community,, <br /> Notion: Frank Fantasia moved to reeogniZe the Parents Support Group as a <br /> recipient for Thanks for Giving Award,seconded by Lynne Waterman. vote <br /> unanimous 5-0. <br /> The members would bring back nominees for individuals to the next meeting. <br />
