Mh Preston indicated that they sought to <br /> provide different meeting times to encourage greater participation and noted the possibility that <br /> they may fill the Planning Board meeting agenda for the December meeting. More meetings <br /> would be planned after the holidays, along with a design/planning festival. <br /> Mr. Balzarini inquired whether Maslipee Commons planned to first share their own ideas for <br /> Mashpee Commons. Mr. Preston responded that the process was intended as a community led <br /> planning effort. Mr. Balzarini described his previous involvement with Mashpee Commons <br /> planning when they already had their plan. W. Balzarini expressed concern about wasting the <br /> public's time if Mashpee Commons already had a plan in mind. Mr. Preston stated that their <br /> mission was to build a nixed use neighborhood a.nd.wished to approach the process differently. <br /> Mr. Preston stated.that Mashpee Commons wished to hear from the community their long term <br /> vision for the site, with a goal to implement Ma.shpee Commons quicker, <br /> Mr. Preston anticipated a range-of attendance and planned to offer a three-part meeting with a <br /> dialogue, brainstorming activities and review of the results from crowd sourcing. Mr, Balzarini <br /> inquired about meeting advertising, and lir. Preston responded that they would mar et,the <br /> meetings using signage, Facebool.and the website. <br /> Mr, Fudala inquired about Phase II planning forums. Mr. Preston responded that it would <br /> identify issues, such as parking, and identify the necessary design solutions. W. Pudala <br /> suggested that the meetings be televised to be available to residents, particularly if the meetings <br /> were issue oriented or if experts were presenting. Mr. Preston responded that the meetings <br /> would be documented and available online. <br /> Chairman waygan referenced the Local Comprehensive Plan, revolving around the Regional <br /> Policy Plan, and suggested that those topics serve as a focus during the visioning process and <br /> shared with Mashpee residents. <br /> Mr. Fudarla inquired about the timeline for completion of the planning. Mr.,Preston responded <br /> that the discussions would identify the timing appropriate for the Town Meeting. Mashpee <br /> Commons wished to be reactive to the community. <br /> Marc Kadis, Suggested Zoning Amendment to allow two residences on one lot Mr. <br /> .adis submitted a letter regarding his request, suggesting that allowing two residences on a <br /> S le lot would not cause trouble to the Town but would add tax revenue. If two residences <br /> *^' r <br /> were not allowed, r. adis would ask for an amnesty program allowing the two residences on <br /> the lot, provided they met health and building codes. Mr. Kadis described 70Barnstable Load, <br /> abutting conservation land, with two homes on the lot. Mr. Iadis stated that the previous owner <br /> had converted a garage into a second home. However, lir. Kadis indicated that the garage could <br /> not be used as access would require travel over conservation land. Mr. Kadis stated that the <br /> property had a.four bedroom septic. The Chair inquired about the accessory apartment bylaw, <br /> but Mr. Fudarl a responded that the accessory apartment needed to be attached to the principle <br /> structure. Nh.
