Accessory Uses R-3 R-5 C-1 C-2 C-3 1-1 <br /> (10) Outdoor dining shall be -- -- PR PR SP SP <br /> allowed in commercial <br /> districts as an accessory use <br /> to an allowed eating place <br /> serving food and beverage, <br /> provided that visual <br /> screening shall be required <br /> in any area abutting a <br /> residential zone. Such <br /> screening shall consist of a <br /> solid fence, wall or mature <br /> hedge or other screen type <br /> planting of such height as to <br /> screen any diners from the <br /> said residential zone. <br /> Amend §174-25 (E): Principle retail business and consumer service establishments by adding <br /> the letters "SP" under the column identified as 1-1 to read: <br /> Type of Use Residential Commercial Industrial <br /> E. Principle retail business and R-3 R-5 C-1 C-2 C-3 1-1 <br /> consumer service establishments <br /> (2) Eating places serving food -- -- PR/SP PR/SP SP SP <br /> and beverages to be <br /> consumed within the <br /> building. <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Planning Board <br /> Explanation: This article will make outdoor dining an allowed accessory use by special permit in <br /> the C-3 and 1-1 zoning district to an allowed eating place serving food and beverage, provided that <br /> visual screening shall be required in any area abutting a residential zone. Such screening shall <br /> consist of a solid fence, wall or mature hedge or other screen type planting of such height as to <br /> screen any diners from view from the said residential zone per section 174-25 (1)(10)of the zoning <br /> bylaw and will also make eating places serving food and beverages to be consumed within the <br /> building an allowed principal retail and consumer service use in the 1-1 zoning district by special <br /> permit per section 174-25(E)(2) of the zoning bylaw an allowed use in the 1-1 district to establish <br /> consistency with the provisions in the Light Industrial Overlay District. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article by a vote of 5-0 <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article by a vote of 6-0 <br />
