Proof of Mashpee residency for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the date of Application as <br /> specified in the Mashpee Aquaculture Regulations. <br /> Commission Comments: No comment <br /> ❑ 8. Locus map (USGS) showing project location with reference to the surrounding waterway or <br /> embayment. <br /> Commission Comments: No comment <br /> ❑ 9.Detailed map showing outline of proposed aquaculture area on a nautical chart with latitude and <br /> longitude references, or engineered plan with datum references, and mean high water and mean low water <br /> lines. <br /> Commission Comments: <br /> York: "There are various nautical charts that are available with mean low water markers. They must be <br /> USGS or NOAA approved." <br /> ❑ 10. Detailed map and aerial photo-with the proposed aquaculture area outlined with the location of the <br /> aquaculture gear shown. Maximum amount of floating gear allowed in a licensed aquaculture area is <br /> 20,000 square feet or 10% of the total licensed area,whichever is greater. (U.S. Army Corps of <br /> Engineers). <br /> Commission Comments: <br /> Fisher: "This basically states that the grant layout must be specified. Where the floating gear will be <br /> located,where the bottom gear will be located.Also,the floating gear must be to scale for the 20,000 <br /> square feet allowed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. This is also required by the Division of Marine <br /> fisheries for approval in the grant process." <br /> ❑ 11.Narrative description of project including: <br /> 1.) Location of the proposed project <br /> 2.) Boundaries of the project area in terms of metes and bounds, latitude and longitude list of corner <br /> points, and lengths of the connecting lines of the grant parameter. <br /> 3.) Size of the project area in acres. <br /> 4.)Natural resources and bottom sediment type in the proposed project area. <br /> 5.) Location,type and color of all buoys to be deployed and which anchors will be used based on <br /> bottom type. Minimum size of 15 diameter yellow ball markers. Minimum of 100 pound mushroom <br /> or pyramid anchors must be used where lines meet. <br /> 6.)Number,types,maximum dimensions and general design of structures to be used. <br /> 7.) Species of shellfish to be grown and cultivated within the area. <br /> 8.) Security measures that will be used. <br /> 9.) Location of unloading, loading gear and product. <br /> 10.)Bird deterrent methods to be incorporated. <br /> Commission Comments: No comment <br /> ❑ 12. List of abutters within three hundred (300)feet of the proposed project area. <br /> Commission Comments: <br /> Fisher: "The abutter requirement may be 100-150 feet around the proposed aquaculture site as required <br /> by the Conservation Commission for the Notice of Intent. This number will change once that <br /> information is confirmed to be the same requirement" <br /> ❑ 13. If the area is privately owned, letter of permission from the landowner. <br /> Commission Comments:No comment <br />
