Minutes of Meeting of <br /> Design Review Committee <br /> Held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Evan mentioned the approved Cape Cod Commission guidelines that were approved in the late <br /> 90's. The application for a 10,000 sq.ft. plus structure has to comply with these guidelines.Zoning <br /> will now reference that new construction regardless of the square footage, and will need to comply <br /> with these guidelines. The breakup in massing, variations in the building wall, and roof height. It <br /> doesn't prescribe necessarily material and color but reviews visual interests. <br /> Charlie made a motion recommending the committee obtain the square footage of the sign and <br /> color. Joe motioned that he would like the actual dimensions of the sign, the color, the actual <br /> location, and the total height of the sign and the square footage of the sign area. <br /> Evan asked if the motion requires the applicant to return to Design Review,or conditional approvals <br /> pursuant to plans being submitted that will reflect the zoning compliance. <br /> Joe said that if the criteria is met and submitted to the Planning Board, there is no reason to return <br /> back to this committee. <br /> Bill Blaisdell said that the motion will be a conditional motion that it meets all the zoning conditions <br /> for the sign requirements, and that there is a concern of the appearance on the long side of the <br /> building facing Evergreen.There's no reason to return to Design Review,but to inform the Planning <br /> Board of these concerns. <br /> Mr. Blaisdell seconded the motion.All approved of the recommendations. <br /> Other Business: <br /> The minutes dated March 5, 2019 were not approved by the committee due to absent members. <br /> There were no other comments from the committee or audience. <br /> Mr. Blaisdell made a motion to adjourn. Joe seconded. All were in favor to adjourn.
