The candidates were asked a series of uniformed questions focusing on work ethic, dedication, competence and past experience, Candidates were also rated on possessing knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the general duties and essential functions of the position of police officer. Specifically, candidates were rated on appearance, training, communication skills, judgment; poise; pride;motivation;responsibility; general knowledge; and overall fitness for the position. On March 12, 2018 and March 20, 2018 appointing authority interviews were conducted in my office. Present.for these interviews were myself and Captain Thomas Rose. From here an eligibility list for employment was established which is still currently in effect. Police officer candidate Erik Simonsen is the next candidate on the eligibility list and the next in line to be appointed. Mr. Simonsen has successfully completed a comprehensive background investigation; medical examination; and a psychological examination, Therefore, Mr. Simonsen is qualified for and has been appointed to the position of police officer conditional upon certification of the selection process. Erik Simonsen currently resides in Newton.; Massachusetts, he is employed as sales associate for Fastenal Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts.He possess a Bachelor's Degree from the New Hampshire Technical Institute and is a member of the United States Naval Reserve. Police officer candidate Minor Elizondo is the next candidate on the eligibility list and the next in line to be appointed. Mr. Elizondo has successfully completed a comprehensive background investigation;medical examination; and a psychological examination. Therefore, Mr. Elizondo is qualified for and has been appointed to the position of police officer, conditional upon certification of the selection process. Minor Elizondo currently resides in Dennis,Massachusetts and is employed as the owner of Major Minor Construction.. He is also currently a ineinber-of the United States Army National Guard and holds a-certificate from the Plymouth Intermittent Police Academy. Police officer candidate Jesse white is the next candidate an the eligibility list and the next in line to be appointed. Mr, white has successfully completed a comprehensive background investigation; medical examination-, and a psychological examination. Therefore, Mr. white is qualified for and has been appointed to the position of police officer conditional upon certification of the selection process. Jesse white currently resides in Bourne,Massachusetts and is employed as an associate with Burke and Associates CPA's. He possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from UMass Dartmouth and is currently working toward his Master's Degree in the sane field. I affirm that all phases of the entry level selection process have been completed consistent with all policies and procedures established by the Town of Mashpee and its police department. I respectfully request certification of the selection process with the appointments of Erik Simonsen, Minor Elizondo and Jesse white to the position of full--time police officer.
