All Mas,hpee Fire Department 911 emergency calls will be answered by the Ma h.pcc Primary PSAP located at the Sheriff s Office Communications Center, as well as the seven digit fire department emergency, for call processing an dispatching over M shpcc Fire frequencies. The Town of Mashpcc shall maintain the ability, within the M .shpcc Police Department Dispatch Center, to serve as a back-up fire department dispatch system. Background:r d: This is the standard annual contract for the services provided by the BCSO Dispatch Canter. Past five fiscal years' history: Fiscal Year 2019 Combined Fee for Fire Dispatch and C:ED: $103,972.92. Fiscal.l Year 2018 Combined Fee for Fire Dispatch and CMED.- $104,024.41 Fiscal Year 2017 Combined Fee for Fire Dispatch n CMED: $106,665.89 Fiscal Year 2016 Combined Fee for Fire Dispatch and CMED: $74,211,47 Fiscal Year 2015 Fire Dispatch Fee: $82,320.00; CMED Fee: $8,,576.00 (Tof l.- $90,896) Recommendation: The Fiscal Year 2020 Proposed Contract is for a Combined Fee for Fire Dispatch and. CMED of$118,753.45. This represents a. 14,2 % increase from FY19, however FY18 & FY19 were actually less than FY17w Comparing the proposed contract to FY1 , it represents an 11.2% ,increase over the 4 years.. Further, this contract has been budgeted in the FY20 expense budget. Pros and Cons: The department is required to have a third party dispatching services as we do not have the ability .� to manage or staff our own PSAP. I will always continue to evaluate other cost effective dispatching options which meet the needs of our community.
