I <br /> III. A seven (7) digit, non-published, local (Mashpee) telephone number shall be <br /> established for use by fire department personnel for the purpose of recall <br /> information, etc. Due to the nature of routing the "local"telephone number to <br /> Barnstable, there 'is a long distance charge placed one each call. These charges <br /> w ill be billed to the Town of Mashpee, not the, Caller. <br /> IV. Radio communications for the Mashpee Fire Department shall be broadcast over <br /> the regional 800 radio system and simulcast over 33.68Mhz from the main base <br /> station located at the Mashpee Police Headquarters by means of remote control <br /> circuits. The simulcast equipment shall be the responsibility of the Town of <br /> Mashpee". <br /> V. The Town of Mashpee Fire Department shall be responsible for providing and <br /> maintaining a Fire Department Policies and Procedures, Manual as it relates, to <br /> dispatching, call processing and related issues, for the Mashp,ee Fire Department at <br /> the Sheriffs Office Communications Center. <br /> V1. In the event of telephone line failure or technical difficulty (equipment failures, <br /> natural disasters, storms, etc.) that render the Sheriff s Office Communications <br /> Center unable to provide dispatch services, the Mashpee Fire Departri-lent shall <br /> assume all responsibilities of fire dispatch for the Town, using in-house resources, <br /> at no expense to the Sheriff s Office. Once the problem has been resolved, <br /> dispatch operations, shall resume at the Sheriff s Office. <br /> VIL An annual fee to provide the fire dispatch services as outlined in the addendum to <br /> this agreement, shall be assessed to the Town of Mashpee. The fee to be paid <br /> quarterly, will be in effect on July 1, 201 to June 30, 2020. <br /> The Duties and Responsibilities of the Sheriff shall include the following: <br /> 1) Receipt Fire/Rescue related emergency 911 calls, from the Primary PSAP and the <br /> radio dispatch of same. If it is necessary to provide the caller with pre-arrival <br /> instructions, the telecommunicator at the Sheriff s Office will be available to stay <br /> on the line with the caller to provide this service. <br /> 2) Receipt of Fire/Rescue emergency calls on the (508) 477-1234 fire emergency <br /> line, and the radio dispatch of the same. <br /> 3) Processing of fire department radio traffic to emergency responses by the Fire <br /> Department. <br /> 4) The "'Toning Out" of manpower recall. <br /> 5) Receipt of non-emergency fire department traffic on an unpublished telephone <br /> line for manpower recall, run times, etc., fo�r the purpose of maintaining <br /> department operations. <br />
