Taylor <br /> RE: Agenda Item Request for July 22, 2019 Board of Selectmen Meeting <br /> Description <br /> :Discussion and approval of adding an article to the October 21, 2019 Town Meeting warrant to accept a <br /> deed in lieu of taxes for property located at"MAIN STREET REAR" <br /> Background <br /> ,This property is along the Santuit River and abuts the Town of Barnstable. Currently, it is in the tax <br /> foreclosure process and the property owner wants to donate the land to the Town in lieu of the unpaid <br /> taxes under MGL c.60 §77C. <br /> Recommendation <br /> It is r' ecommended that the Board. of Selectmen vote to include this item as a Town Meeting warrant <br /> article. <br /> Pros and Cons <br /> The Pros are that the Town would receive property along the S antuxt River <br /> The Cons are that the Town would possibly not receive the property nor the property taxes. <br />
