17 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 5, 2019 <br /> LIAISON REPORTS <br /> Assembly of Delegates: The Assembly of Delegates is currently reviewing the Barnstable County Charter. <br /> Comments may be forwarded to Selectman Thomas F. O'Hara, Mashpee's representative to the Assembly. <br /> Mashpee Night Out: The Mashpee Police Department's 4"' Annual National Night Out is scheduled to be held <br /> on Tuesday, August 6,2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. outdoors between the Police and Fire Departments. <br /> An array of family fun is planned. The event is free and open to the public. <br /> TOWN MANAGER UPDATES <br /> Town Manager Rodney C. Collins announced the following; <br /> Sampsons Mills Road Closure: Road detour starting Monday, August 12, 2019 for a three-month duration <br /> to conduct necessary road repairs. <br /> South Cape Resort: The Town Manager is scheduled to meet with representation from the South Cape Resort <br /> in September regarding an interest for a possible municipal purchase. Town Counsel Patrick J. Costello will <br /> be in attendance on the Town's behalf. <br /> DPW Storage Garage: A contract was awarded to Collins Construction Co. for a pre-engineered 42x60 storage <br /> garage at the DPW. For disclosure, the firm has no relation to Town Manager Rodney C. Collins. <br /> Veterans Reserve Parking: Two signs 12x18 depicting signage Reserved fog° Veterans; The Mashpee <br /> Community hill Never Forget will be placed at the beach for Veterans Parking in appreciation to Mashpee's <br /> Veterans. Acknowledgement was given to those who worked diligently on this project. <br /> Intermunicipal Agreement with Water District: With respect to the expired Intermunicipal Agreement with the <br /> Water District, the Town Manager is expected to engage in negotiations with the Water District shortly. <br /> Contents of the new agreement will be presented to the full Board of Selectmen. <br /> Host Community Agreement: The Town Manager will attend a function on August 14, 2019 at the <br /> Willowbend Country Club to review the Host Agreement between the Town of Mashpee and Mashpee <br /> Holdings, LLC. The establishment is expected to move forward with a new facility at 79 Echo Road, <br /> Mashpee. <br /> Board of Selectmen Special Meeting: The Board of Selectmen will review the matter of wastewater and <br /> regionalization with the Town Manager and his Financial Team on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan: As a result of recent unforeseen weather conditions, Fire Chief <br /> Thomas Rullo has prepared a Mashpee Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP)to provide the <br /> framework for a county-wide emergency management system. The document was modeled from the State. <br /> The Board of Selectmen is anticipated to review the document at their August 19, 2019 meeting. <br />
