8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 5, 2019 <br /> Special Event; Temporary Sign Permit: RUCK4HIT Not Your Ordinary 5K, South Cape Beach, September 29, <br /> 2019 4-6 pm: Heroes in Transition,Nicole Spencer: <br /> Nicole Spencer was present on behalf of Heroes in Transition to request approval of a Special Event <br /> Application and Temporary Sign Permit for the 0' Annual RUCK4HIT Not Your Ordinary 5K scheduled to be <br /> held at South Cape Beach on Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Up to six directional <br /> signs, 18x24 are requested for placement along Great Neck Road South leading to the location of the event. <br /> Applicable regulatory agencies have signed off on the request with the DPW stipulating the litter shall be <br /> collected, and one portable restroom facility is required on site. If additional restroom facilities are required <br /> there is an extra fee. The Board of Health has required sufficient portable restroom facilities be available for <br /> the participants expected. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the Special Event and Temporary Sign Permit <br /> Applications of Heroes in Transition for the annual RUCK41IT Not Your Ordinary 5K on <br /> September 29, 2019 as referenced. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roil Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br /> Temporary Sin Permit: Cape Cod Collaborative; Anders Erikson: <br /> The Board of Selectmen met with Anders Erikson of the Cape Cod Collaborative to review the results of <br /> the previous temporary signage application seeking school bus drivers for employment. Mr. Erikson indicated <br /> the signage placed in the area of the Mashpee Rotary received total of(5) inquiries. <br /> To adhere to the critical need to provide transportation to students Mr. Erikson requested the Board grant <br /> a Temporary Sign Permit to the Collaborative for an additional (10) days at the same locations. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the Temporary Sign Permit Application of the <br /> Cape Cod Collaborative for(2) Signs in the area of the Mashpee Rotary for(10) days for public <br /> purpose. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br />
