13 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 19, 2019 <br /> Article #25: Accessory Apartment - *New version of Article to reflect amendments recommended by the <br /> Planning Board. Correspondence from the Town Planner dated August 13, 2019 outlined the <br /> unanimous recommendations of the Planning Board regarding the proposed Accessory Apartment <br /> Bylaw. Changes were made in Subsection B, E and I. (continued) <br /> Subsection F requires at least(1) off-street parking space for the accessory apartment. All parking for the <br /> Accessory apartment shall be off-street. This amendment would provide off-street parking for all accessory <br /> apartment vehicles. <br /> A brief discussion followed regarding the responsible party for the disposal of rubbish which may be more <br /> appropriate as a general bylaw and not a zoning bylaw. Town Counsel would be consulted with respect to this <br /> regard. <br /> The Board of Selectmen complimented Evan Lehrer,the Town Planner for bringing this bylaw forward. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to substitute the article with the new language and recommend <br /> approval of Article#25 on the October warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br /> Article#26: Accessory Apartments—To allow the development of accessory apartments in the residential <br /> Zoning districts of the Town as a by-right use. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to recommend approval of Article#26 on the October warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br /> Article #27: To amend the Zoning Bylaw to change the definition of Accessory apartment in the zoning bylaw <br /> to include detached structures and change the definition of Dwelling Accessory in the Open Space <br /> Incentive Development(OSID) to allow Accessory Dwellings permitted under OSID to have up to <br /> (2) bedrooms. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to recommend approval of Article#27 on the October warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br />
