Article 24 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend Chapter 172-14 of the General Bylaws as follows: <br /> Replace any reference to "Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs" and its acronym "OEEA" with <br /> "Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs"and its acronym "EOEEA" <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Conservation <br /> Department <br /> Explanation: The bylaw must accurately reflect any name/acronym changes in reference to other state <br /> agencies in the bylaw language. This is housekeeping amendment. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article 24 by a vote of 4-0 <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 24 by a vote of 6-0 <br /> MOTION TO BE MADE BY SELECTMAN SHERMAN: <br /> I move the Town vote to approve Article 24 as printed in the warrant with the <br /> exception of the phrase, "or take any other action relating thereto." <br /> Article 25 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend Section 173-3 (Violations and Penalties) of the General Bylaws <br /> by deleting the phrase "not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300)per incident"and inserting "as <br /> established by the Board of Selectmen'; or take any action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Conservation Department <br /> Explanation: The current cap for non-criminal offenses under the bylaw is $300 per offense. In the <br /> event that this cap is increased in the future, the proposed replacement wording won't restrict the <br /> commission to a cap of$300. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article 25 by a vote of 4-0 <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 25 by a vote of 6-0 <br /> MOTION TO BE MADE BY SELECTMAN WEEDEN: <br /> I move the Town vote to approve Article 25 as printed in the warrant with the <br /> exception of the phrase, "or take any other action relating thereto." <br /> 30 <br />
