Tolun of 4- ng pee
F
P. 01 Box 1108
MASHPEE, MA 02649
PIA NING BOARD MINUTES : 4/24/05 P. 17
Mr. Marsters : It 's still there the last I saw. I mean they moved it
right next to the Town Hall and there it is , a flagrant violation.
-Mr. Dubin: Well I don't know about anybody else , but I have a slightly
snobby approach to it , but T 'd just as soon not see that mobile home
there , I can sympathize with the situation but from an aesthetic point
of view mobile homes are something we generally discourage through the
zoning by-laws . This would go the other way and we 're talking about
allowing it for a total up to 18 months . That 's a long time to have a
mobile home .
Hr, Marsters : What 's in the zoning by-law now? It 's only. . .
Mr. Collins : Doesn't this recreation vehicle , it would even include a
boat . Just to make it legal . it wasn't legal
in these places but nobody would bother him. Therela a lot of things
that aren't legal that are done .
mr. Dubin. That wouldn't bother me , it 's the thought of a mobile home
going in there and staying a year and a half .
Hr . Boyd : You can put a mobile home on a site now legally if you meet
all setback requirements .
Mr. Jonas : Some of those trailers and mobile homes are a sorry sight ®
They want to get the cheapest thing to set up there .
Mr . Collins ; There are some that look like a bus .
Hr, Jonas : Right , They don't care what they get .
Mr .Dubin: One thing's for sure , the bottom line is it 's going to encour-
age more mobile homes rather than less . Myself I 'm opposed on that
basis .
Mr . Marsters : 1 think TIm opposed also . It 's too loose . Mobile home ,
trailer or recreational vehicle and then it allows it for 13 months . I
just don't endorse the idea of having it . I would be against it . We
do have a provision in the by-laws that allows a mobile home if your
