Talun of gngpee
P. O, Box 1 108
MASHPEE, MA 02649
PLANNING BOARD MINUTES : 4/24/8 j P. 6
---------------
I beg to differ. I don't think it 's good to have industrial backed_ up
with residential and then another industrial area . I think they should
be in different locations throughout the town rather than being all
together in different locations with residential in between. I think
that 's a bad situation, I think we .got enough industrial to suit our
needs for quite a while . There 's very little being used . I don't think
in that area that we need anymore ® I think we specifically zoned that
area as such through a planner and I think it should remain the same ,
that 's my feeling
Mr. Marsters : Thank you. Anyone out here who wants to speak on this
particular item? (there were none ) Anyone care to make a motion or
recommendation on this on the Planning Board?
Tyr ® Jonas : 1 recommend the zoning remain the same as it is .
Jr . Fars-lets `_'ou make a 1710-110n that we rE:cOfUmP,.i2d against t,.tl.l_S art,i o e`.
Hr . Jonas : Yes ,
Mr. Collins : I second it
Mr. Harsters : All those in favor.
Mr . Marsters , Mr .e Jonas , Mr . Collins : Aye
Mr. Marsters : It would appear that the Planning Board is unanimously
against rezoning this area . I think part of it is that we all honestly
_reel that we have adequate industrial right now. The other thing is
what bothers me is that if proponents come in with these articles , unless
there 's a very strong need, I think it should not be done on one little
plot of land at a. time . That it should be done on a town wide basis and
our new town planner is tackling rezoning and is looking into industrial
and I 'd rather see it on a town-wide basis and not one parcel at a time .
So that 's just another. items But I though I 'd let you know the situation.
Mr. Donnelly: Thank you very much
Mr . Dubin opened the public hearing on political signs , Section 10 , He
read the notice as advertised in the newspaper (see attached) .
Mr. Jonas : I think it should say free-standing signs . This here doesn't
tell you what kind of signs and I think it should .
''fir , Varsters : Well if you said not more than 2 free-standing then. they
