Taffin of IRZ154pee
P. 01 BOX 1108
MASHPEE, MA 02649
PLANNING, BOARD 1,VfINIUTES : 4/17/85 P. 6
Mr . Dubin closed the public hearing and the Board -took the article under
advisement .
Mir , Dubin: Now I should make the statement on this article that we just
did and the next two . These articles were advertised for tonight 's
hearing and they were also inadvertently advertised for a subsequent
hearing on April 24, so to make sure we don't make any mistakes we 're
going to call it for a hearing again on the 24th and we 'll seek any
public comments in case there 's any new comments but unless anybody has
anything to say this will probably be all -the discussion we 'll have .
The next hearing is on Zoning By-Law Section 11 Subsection 5 . (He read
the notice as appeared in the newspaper - see attached) Doug, do you have
any comments on this .
Mir. Boyd: This is basically Tom's .
Mr. Dubin: OK,
Mr , Marsters : What happened is we eliminated use variances in Town and
this is incorrect it says "as in any other zoning districts" , well. it 's
not allowed in any other districts . So I think we 're just trying to
make this conform and not allow any use variances . To they're just
trying to make this conform,
Mr . Dubin: Tom's in Selectmen's meeting by the way. He submitted a
written explanation. (see attached)
Mr . Marsters : Just what I just said .
Mr . Dubin: Right . Any other comments ® (There were none )
Mr. Dubin closed the publi&hearing and -the Board took the article
under advisement .
Mr. Dubin: The next hearing is on Section 7 . (He read the notice as
appeared in the newspaper. see attached) .
M-, Dubin: This was also submitted by Tom and we all have this explana-
tion (see attached) . (Ifie read it . )
Mr , i,,ffarsters : I have a problem with this one . I think it 's a little
too restrictive and a little too rigid. Can you imagine in C-1 where
you have a 40' setback and you 're going to insist the first 20 ' be left
not touched at all . This is supposed to be a village concept , it is
just much -too rigid . That 's not a case where you want natural vegetation.
20 ' of natural vegetation wouldn't do anything for you.
Mr. Wlakunas : Why can 't the Design Review get involved with that .
