Minutes of Meeting of Design Review Committee Tuesday, February 4, 2020 Mashpee Town Hall-Waquoit Meeting Room 8:45 am Project Address: 800 Falmouth Rd.Suite 101B & 102E Representative: Locust Street Sign Co. Business Name: Integrated Dermatology Owner/Agent: Adam S. Plotkin,MD Request: 36.5"x 120"=30.41 Sq.ft. One sign on the building. Mike from Locust Street Sign represented the applicant. The building is located in Summerfield Place and the new tenant is replacing an existing sign in the same location as the last tenant on the front of the building facing Rte. 28. The colors of the sign are white, medium blue, and a dark gray. Miles noticed that the image of the sign is slightly lower than the existing sign on the other side of the front door of the building. Miles would like to see a more subtle white color. The Committee would like to see the corners of the sign more rounded and scallop shaped. Jonathan said the size meets the requirements. Joe made a motion to approve the sign with the following recommendations;the sign could be scalloped on the corners, a more subtle white color of the background, raise the sign two clapboard height sections, and center the top line of the lettering. Business Name: ACE Hardware Owner/Agent: Glen Finkelstein Request: Three(3)Signs: "ACE": 17.94 sq.ft. "HARDWARE": 19,44 sq.ft. "Benjamin Moore" 13.3 sq.ft. Mike from Locust Street Sign Co represented the applicant for Ace Hardware, The Committee noted that the proposed Ace sign will be placed in the exact section of the building as the last sign. The color is red, with a true white, and matches the trim of the building. The applicant would like to install a wall mounted sign with back-lighting. Joe made a motion to accept the proposed signage with wall mounted back-lit design as depicted on the revised picture. Jonathan seconded. The application passed 3-1, Miles opposed. * The meeting adjourned at 10:00 am.
