The LCP is written to be consistent with the Cape Cod Commission Regional <br /> Policy Plan, which has, recently been updated. The LC P is, required to be updated every 5 years,. <br /> The LCP also serves as the Master Plan for the Town pursuant to MGL c.41A, Section 81D "Such <br /> plan shall be a statement,through text, maps, illustrations, or other forms of communication/that <br /> is designed to provide a basis for decision making regarding the long-term physical development <br /> of the municipality. The comprehensive plan shall be internally consistent in its policies, forecasts <br /> and standards, and shall include the following elements:" Growth and development goals and <br /> policies statement; land use plain; Housing; Economic Development; Natural and Cultural <br /> Resources- Open Space and Recreation; Services and facilities; Transportation, and; <br /> Implementation program., The plan serves as a guide to future development and needs of <br /> Mashpee and it also assists the Town with potential grant opportunities. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article 27 by a to of 5­0 <br /> The'Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 27 by a vote of 5-1 <br /> Article 28 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of$65,000 from the, Waterways <br /> Improvement Fund to the Engineering/Permitting/Dredging and Associated Expense Account to <br /> cover the costs associated with dredging 5,000 cubic yards of sediment from the Popponesset <br /> Approach Channel, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Waterways Commission <br /> Explanation: This article will transfer funds from the Waterways Improvement Fund to the <br /> Waterways Engineleri,ng/Permitting/Dredging and Associated Expenses Account to cover the costs <br /> associated with dredging 5,,000 cubic yards of sediment from the Popponesset Approach Channel. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article 28 by a vote of 5-0 <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 28 by a vote of 6-01 <br /> Article 29 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of$15,000 from the waterways <br /> ways <br /> Improvement Fund to the Engineering/Permitting/Dredging and Associated Expense Account for <br /> the purpose of providing funds to be used for ramip safe boating access at any of the salt or,fresh <br /> water ramps.
