Motion carries. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, no Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden, no Opposed, (2) <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Approval of Seasonal Population Estimate: Town Planner Evan Lehrer: <br /> Evan Lehrer, Town Planner was in attendance to review and recommend the Summer Population projections for <br /> July 10, 2020 with the Board of Selectmen. Mr. Lehrer indicated during the peak of the summer season, the <br /> estimated population is 35,736 persons in the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Mr. Lehrer disclosed that an error was detected in calculating the total number of total occupied summer housing <br /> units in 2019. The error resulted in the estimate for occupants of seasonal dwelling as approximately 281 persons <br /> less than it should have been. Last year's estimate of 35,378 should have been more accurately represented at a <br /> value of 35,590. <br /> The estimated population of 35,736 persons in Mashpee on July 10, 2020 is a marginal increase of approximately <br /> 146 persons. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to Estimate the Summer Population of 35,736 persons on July 10, <br /> 2020, the peak of the summer season as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br /> Convene Joint Meeting with Board of Selectmen: <br /> The Finance Committee met in joint convention with the Board of Selectmen for the purpose of acting upon the <br /> Special and Annual Town Meeting Warrants of Monday, May 4, 2020.
