Mr. Sanborn acknowledged Mashpee representatives Scott McGee and David
Bloomfield as well as Dawn Thayer, representative to the School Building Committee.
Of the 616 students enrolled for Fiscal Year 2021, Mashpee has 48 students attending. This represents 8% of the
total enrollment with the increase of 3 students from last fiscal year. In reviewing the enrollment trend; 59
Mashpee students attended the technical school in FYI 7. Enrollment has decreased by 11 students in FY21.
Although there is a general decline in enrollment, the attributes of a new school building may represent an
increase in admissions. Mr. Sanborn indicated the regression is most likely due to demographics and the need to
have a younger influx of residents on the Cape. The school has taken steps to revamp the guidance department to
primarily focus on enrollment and the tour schedule has been renewed in an effort to attract more students.
