I N�HOUSE POSTING <br /> DIRECTOR OF NATURAL RESOURCES <br /> The Town of Mashpee seeks candidates for the position of Director of Natural Resources. This is <br /> a full time position, 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 8:30arn—4:30pm; $74,256.00/year. <br /> This position will manage and oversee all activities relating to the Harbormaster, Shellfish <br /> Constable, and all other employees assigned to the Department of Natural Resources. The <br /> Director performs highly professional and administrative functions associated with the <br /> management and operations of waterways and shellfish resources and enforcement of <br /> applicable state laws,town bylaws and regulations established by proper authority. Must be able <br /> to perform the general functions of the Harbormaster and Shellfish Constable. Responsible for <br /> coordinating corrective actions necessary to protect tidal areas and adjacent wetlands. Oversees <br /> water quality monitoring programs and ensures effective administration of same to protect <br /> resources. <br /> Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, marine biology or related field; at least three years <br /> of effective experience in marine or natural resource management; at least three years of <br /> effective enforcement experience; at least three, years of supervisory experience; or any <br /> equivalent,combination of education, training or experience that demonstrates the required <br /> knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Must <br /> possess comprehensive - knowledge of marine, environmental and shellfish sciences; <br /> comprehensive knowledge of natural resources and ,nutrient management; comprehensive <br /> knowledge of waterways and shellfish operations; comprehensive knowledge of town, state and <br /> federal waterways and shellfish laws and regulations governing the control of waterways, boating <br /> and shellfish; comprehensive knowledge of local geography and waterways; comprehensive <br /> knowledge of tidal conditions and currents; general knowledge of boat engines and equipment. <br /> Interested candidates should submit a Town of Mashpee employment application, resume and <br /> cover letter to Human Resources Director Kimberly Landry, Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck <br /> Road North, Mashpee, MA 02649.
