I
I'
34
Report of the Town Landing Committee
To the Inhabitants and Taxpayers
of the Town of Mashpee
We are interested in a Town Landing at Mashpee Lake,
at present we have a Town Park, which is controlled by our
Park Commission. At a Town Meeting held on March 29, 1888,
the Town voted to accept a twenty foot way as laid out by
the Selectmen, that went to the waters of Mashpee Lake.
We feel that the Town should have the present road
laid out as a forty foot way to the waters of Mashpee Lake,
We have looked at two other sites for Town Landings, one
at Jehu's Pond and at Popponessett Bay.
We have landings at:
Ockway Bay
Punkhorn Point
Cherry tree
Hamblins Pond at Monomoscoy
Seconsett
Santuit Pond
Johns Pond
We need Landings at:
Moodys Pond
Flat Pond
Wading Place
Jehu's Pond
Lower end of Mashpee River, possibly at Ashers Path
and Timber Landing
Quashnett River
Ashumet Pond
Respectfully submitted,
CARL A.
