72 Inland waters Safety Committee of not less than four or more than six persons with the authority to study the needs for, and to prepare rules and regulations affective by May 31, 1961, pertaining to the speed of, prohibited areas, non -re- stricted areas and lights upon outboard motor boats and inboard motor boats upon the waters that are used jointly by fishermen, bathers, boaters, water skiers and skin divers (SCUBA). Said rules and regulations being designed to pro- tect persons and property, and to promote safety upon the inland waters in the Town at all times of day and night, for the mutual interest, protection and benefit of all users. Voted unanimously. Article 47. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate $50.00 to be used by the Inland Waters Safety Committee for printing. Action: Article accepted as read. Voted unanimously. Article 48. To see if the Town will vote to adopt the following Zoning By -Laws for the Town of Mashpee, or take any other action thereon. CHAPTER III - ARTICLE II ZONING BY-LAWS Town of Mashpee Massachusetts A. PURPOSE 1. The purpose of these by-laws is to promote the health, safety, and general welfare of the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee, to protect and conserve the value of property within the town, to increase the amen- ities of the town, and to secure safety from fire, congestion or confusion, all in accord with the General Laws, Chapter 40A, Sections one (1) to twenty-two (22), inclusive, as amended. B. ESTABLISHMENT OF DISTRICTS 1. The Town of Mashpee is hereby divided as shown on the Map entitled "Zoning Map, Town of Mashpee, Massachusetts", dated November 3, 1959, and filed with the Town Clerk, into the following districts: R-75 Residence District, R-100 Residence District, R-150 Residence District, Business District, Marine Area District, and Industrial District. Said map, and such amendments to it as shall be duly enacted, shall be con- sidered an integral part of this By-law. Boundaries of zoning districts shown on said map shall be assumed to be accurate. 2. Lots in Two Districts—Where a District boundary line divides any lot existing at the time such line is adopted, the regulations for the less restricted portion of such lot shall extend not more than thirty feet into the more restricted portion, provided the lot has street frontage in the less restricted area.
