To see if the Town will vote to amend Chap- <br />ter II, Article X Article 1 of the Town by-laws, to read as fol- <br />lows: no elected officer of the Town of Mashpee, except mem- <br />bers of the Board of Assessors, the Board of Health, and the <br />Planning Board, shall receive any compensation for trans- <br />portation within the limits of the Town. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded to postpone article <br />until next annual Town meeting. Voted unanimously. <br />Article 20. To see if the Town will vote to take from <br />available funds $99.95 for a new desk for the Treasurer's office <br />or to take any other action thereon. <br />Action. Article accepted as read. Voted 13 for, 12 opposed. <br />Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to take from <br />available funds $50.00 for a new mower for the cemetery or <br />take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded to postpone article <br />until next Annual Town meeting. Voted unanimously. <br />Article 22. To see if the Town will vote to allow the <br />cemetery commissioners to be paid on an hourly basis for the <br />work they perform or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded to postpone article <br />indefinitely. Voted unanimously. <br />Article 23. To see if the Town will vote to amend the <br />present by-laws by adding to Chapter III, the following: <br />Article IV, to read as follows: <br />BUILDING CODE <br />Town of Mashpee <br />GENERAL Massachusetts <br />1. <br />Section I. Purpose. To promote the health, safety, moral and gen- <br />eral welfare of its inhabitants, to lessen the danger from fire, and to <br />improvethe Town, the construction and alterations of buildings in the <br />Town of Mashpee are hereby restricted and regulated as provided under <br />the provisions of Section 3, Chapter 143, of the General Laws. <br />Section 2... Relief from Personal Responsibility. The officials, offi- <br />cers or employees charged with the enforcement of this code shall not <br />be personally liable while acting for the municipality, and they are <br />hereby relieved from all personal liability for any damage that may <br />accrue to persons or property as a result of any act required or permit- <br />ted in the discharge of their official duties. <br />
