To see if the Town will vote to amend Chap- ter II, Article X Article 1 of the Town by-laws, to read as fol- lows: no elected officer of the Town of Mashpee, except mem- bers of the Board of Assessors, the Board of Health, and the Planning Board, shall receive any compensation for trans- portation within the limits of the Town. Action: Motion made and seconded to postpone article until next annual Town meeting. Voted unanimously. Article 20. To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds $99.95 for a new desk for the Treasurer's office or to take any other action thereon. Action. Article accepted as read. Voted 13 for, 12 opposed. Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds $50.00 for a new mower for the cemetery or take any other action thereon. Action: Motion made and seconded to postpone article until next Annual Town meeting. Voted unanimously. Article 22. To see if the Town will vote to allow the cemetery commissioners to be paid on an hourly basis for the work they perform or take any other action thereon. Action: Motion made and seconded to postpone article indefinitely. Voted unanimously. Article 23. To see if the Town will vote to amend the present by-laws by adding to Chapter III, the following: Article IV, to read as follows: BUILDING CODE Town of Mashpee GENERAL Massachusetts 1. Section I. Purpose. To promote the health, safety, moral and gen- eral welfare of its inhabitants, to lessen the danger from fire, and to improvethe Town, the construction and alterations of buildings in the Town of Mashpee are hereby restricted and regulated as provided under the provisions of Section 3, Chapter 143, of the General Laws. Section 2... Relief from Personal Responsibility. The officials, offi- cers or employees charged with the enforcement of this code shall not be personally liable while acting for the municipality, and they are hereby relieved from all personal liability for any damage that may accrue to persons or property as a result of any act required or permit- ted in the discharge of their official duties.
