36 <br />Report of the Shellfish Warden <br />To the Honorable Board of Selectmen: <br />I hereby submit my report as Shellfish Warden for the <br />year ending December 31, 1962. <br />We had a fair year for scallops and quahogs. Clams are <br />coming back fairly well and oysters are still very scarce. <br />The closed area in Ockway Bay between Punk Horn <br />Point to Daniel's Island Point to Pocknett's Point to Bearse's <br />Field Point has been reopened for shellfishing again since <br />December 1, 1962. <br />SHELLFISH LICENSES ISSUED <br />Non -Resident 43 @ $2.00 $86.00 <br />Resident 115 @ 1.00 115.00 <br />Commercial 7 @ 10.00 70.00 <br />Total permits 165 $271.00 <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />CAPT. DORRER, <br />Shellfish Warden <br />Report of the Harbor Master <br />To the Honorable Board of Selectmen: <br />New chain and reflectors have been purchased for the <br />buoys at the entrance to Waquoit Bay. These buoys have now <br />been in use for five years and are in good condition. <br />The channel depth from Little River to the Bay remains <br />good; there is slight filling along the sides at the Bay end. <br />A new spar will be placed at Popponessett Rock. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />JOHN MOORE, <br />Harbormaster <br />
