61 <br />Annual Town Meeting Warrant <br />MARCH 2, 1964 <br />BARNSTABLE, SS: To the Constable of the Town of <br />Mashpee GREETINGS: <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, <br />you are hereby directed to notify and summons the in- <br />habitants of the Town of Mashpee, who are qualified to vote <br />in the elections, to meet at the Town Hall on Monday, the <br />2nd day of March next at seven o'clock p.m. for the fol- <br />lowing purposes: <br />To act on the articles contained in the following war- <br />rant. To meet at the Town Hall the following Wednesday, <br />March 4, 1964 to bring in their votes for the election of <br />officers as adopted by the Town. The polls will be open at <br />twelve o'clock noon and may be closed at seven -thirty p.m. <br />The meeting was opened at 7:45 p.m. March 2, 1964 by <br />Selectman Leroy Aiken. <br />Motion was made :and seconded to appoint Mr. William <br />Mills as a temporary Moderator for the meeting. It was a <br />unanimous vote. <br />Reverend Frederick R. Nagle offered a prayer. A moment <br />of silence was observed for Col. William R. Yundt, former <br />moderator who is now deceased. <br />The tellers were Mrs. Ellen Hendricks and Miss Eleanor <br />Peters. The tellers polled the house and found that there <br />were 64 registered voters present, which is a quorum. <br />Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to amend the <br />Town By -Laws as provided for in Chapter 40, Section 32, to <br />read as follows: <br />"Article 6 Finance Committee - Section #1. There <br />shall be a Finance Committee consisting of five voters <br />of the Town of whom each shall serve three years, <br />
