81 <br />Special Town Meeting Warrant <br />October 6, 1964 <br />BARNSTABLE, SS: To the Constable of the Town of <br />Mashpee, GREETINGS: <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you <br />are hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants <br />of the Town of Mashpee, who are qualified to vote in the <br />elections, to meet at the Town Hall on October 6, 1964 at <br />seven thirty o'clock p.m. to act on the articles contained in <br />the following warrant. <br />The tellers were Mrs. Josephine Mills and Mrs. Helen <br />Edwards. The house was polled at 75 which constitutes <br />a quorum. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m. <br />Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to rescind the <br />action taken on Article 65 of the Annual Town Meeting of <br />March 4, 1963 in taking by eminent domain two certain par- <br />cels of land on the easterly and westerly sides of Seconset <br />Island Road; and to authorize and instruct the Selectmen <br />to prepare, execute and deliver a deed of said land to the <br />owners from whom said land was taken, or take any other <br />action thereon. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded not to rescind the <br />action taken on Article 65 of the Annual Town Meeting, <br />March 4, 1963. Voted 47 for, none opposed. <br />Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to transfer and <br />deed to the Trustees, Mashpee Public Library, for the public <br />library purposes, a parcel of land at the Southerly end of land <br />Purchased from Mabel Avant under Article 25 of the Annual <br />Town Meeting of March 5, 1962, as shown on plan by David <br />H. Green, C. E. said parcel to be mutually satisfactory in area <br />to the Board of Selectmen and the Trustees, Mashpee Public <br />Library; or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded to accept article as <br />read. A unanimous vote. <br />J <br />
