'12 <br />Article 38. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- <br />propriate the sum of $73.80 for an office chair, for the Police <br />Department. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded to accept article as <br />recommended. Voted unanimously. <br />Article 39. To see if the Town will vote to dismiss the <br />present Library Building Needs Committee, with appreciation, <br />and instruct the Selectmen to appoint a Library Building <br />Committee of five members by April 1, 1965. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded that article be ac- <br />cepted as recommended. Voted unanimously. <br />Article 40. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- <br />propriate the sum of $21,000.00 to be used in conjunction with <br />the Library Building Fund to construct a library building; <br />and for originally equipping and furnishing said building upon <br />the Collins lot, so called, owned by the Town; $2,000.00 of said <br />appropriation to be raised and appropriated in the current <br />1965 tax levy; $19,000.00 to be borrowed and payable over a <br />period of twenty years under Chapter 44, Section 7, Clause 3 <br />of the General Laws; and to authorize the Library Building <br />Committee appointed in Article #39 of the Town Meeting held <br />March 1, 1965 to enter into all contracts and agreements <br />necessary to construct, equip, and furnish said library build- <br />ing, or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded article be accepted <br />as read. Voted unanimously. Voted 37 for, none opposed. <br />Article 41. To see if the Town will vote to accept River- <br />side Road on Seconset Island as a Town public way as shown <br />on a plan of Riverside Road, Seconset Island, as laid out by the <br />Selectmen January 1965 -scale one inch equals 40 feet. Charles <br />W. Savery, Inc., Registered Engineer -Surveyors, Cotuit; and <br />raise and appropriate the sum of $200.00, or take any other <br />action thereon. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded article be accepted <br />as read. Voted unanimously. Voted 39 for, none opposed. <br />
