86 <br />We recommend that the term of the loan to be incurred <br />for library construction under Article 40 be limited to nine- <br />teen years rather than twenty years. This will provide for <br />equal annual maturities of $1,000. each. <br />We approve the vote adopted under Article 33 relating <br />to hourly rates of pay for town employees. <br />Confirming the comment of this Commission at the time <br />of our meeting you last Friday, April 23, no obligations or <br />expenditures of any kind should be incurred or made in anti- <br />cipation of special article appropriations until the appropria- <br />tions have been voted by the town meeting and approved by <br />this Commission. <br />The annual rates of salaries for elected officials, as <br />voted under Article 6, are hereby approved as follows: <br />Moderator $50.00 <br />Selectmen (Chairman) 1,500.00 <br />Selectmen (Other members) 1,500.00 <br />Assessors (Chairman) 1,698.00 <br />Assessors 1,101.00 <br />Town Clerk 700.00 <br />Collector 2,100.00 <br />Treasurer 1,100.00 <br />Highway Surveyor 5,500.00 <br />Board of Health (agent) 250.00 <br />Board of Health (others) 200.00 <br />We also approve action taken under the following <br />articles: <br />Article 4: Authorizing the treasurer, with the approval <br />of the Selectmen, to borrow in anticipation of revenue. <br />Article 8: Town will assume liability for damages in <br />connection with certain work to be done by the State. <br />EDWARD C.
