89 Article 14. To see if the Town will vote to pay Edward R. Wasil and Heleana M. Wasil the sum of $55.00 on account of a parcel of land on DeGrasse Road, standing in the names of Thomas E. Smith and Bernice D. Smith, which was erron- eously conveyed to said Edward R. Wasil and Heleana M. Wasil by deed of the Town Treasurer dated December 17, 1964, and recorded in the Barnstable County Deeds Book 1284, Page 615 in which the Town had no title. Article amended to read: To see if the Town will vote to pay Edward R. Wasil and Heleana M. Wasil the sum -of $55.00 on account of a parcel of land on DeGrasse Road, standing in the names of Thomas E. Smith and Bernice D. Smith, dated December 17, 1964, and recorded in the Barnstable County Deeds Book 1284, Page 615 in which the Town had no title. Action: Motion made and seconded to take from avail- able funds. A vote. Article 15. To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of $1,000.00 from the Road Machinery Fund to the Road Machinery Account, or take any other action thereon. Action: Motion made and seconded to accept article as read. A unanimous vote. Article 16. To see if the Town will grant an easement to widen the brook (or creek) across town owned land listed as the Schneider property in the Plan Book 172, Page 59 to a 50 foot width, from former Carlton property to Ockway Bay to allow access to salt water for the new marine district cre- ated by the Annual Town Meeting in 1966, or take any other action thereon. Action: Motion made and seconded that article be ac- cepted as read. Motion was lost by negative voice vote. Article 17. To see what the concensus of this Town Meeting is in regard to Bill 1744 in the Legislature asking for the acquisition by the State of South Cape Beach.
