To see if the Town will vote to raise and <br /> appropriate or take from available funds, the sum of <br /> $4,500.00 for the purchase, for park and recreation purposes, <br /> of a parcel of land containing three quarters of an acre <br /> more or less, located -on Route 130 in Mashpee, known as <br /> the Collins property, belonging to Violet A. Peters, subject <br /> to the Town obtaining a good and marketable title thereof; <br /> or take any other :action thereon. <br /> Action: Motion made and seconded to raise and appro- <br /> priate such sum of money. Voted 82 for, 5 opposed. <br /> Article 26. To see if the Town will vote to raise and <br /> appropriate or take from available funds, the sum of <br /> $1,500.00 to bulldoze and start cleaning the new park area <br /> at the corner of Route 130 & Great Neck Road, or take any <br /> other action thereon. <br /> Action: Motion made and seconded to raise and appro- <br /> priate such sum of money. Voted unanimously. <br /> Article 27. To see if the Town will set aside the area <br /> containing town owned land which lies in the perimeter <br /> bordered by the Town library on Great Neck Road to the <br /> Collins estate on Route 130, as a portion of a proposed town <br /> Park, or take any other action thereon. <br /> Action: Motion made and seconded to accept article as <br /> read. Voted 64 for, 26 opposed. <br /> Article 28. To see if the Town will vote to take from <br /> available funds, the sum of $3,000.00 to furnish and install <br /> an official standard school zone flashing light system for <br /> the protection of the children of the Town. By a new act of <br /> the Legislature, the full amount will be reimbursed to the <br /> Town by the State. <br /> Action: Motion made and seconded to accept article as <br /> read.
