Buoys were repaired and painted, moorings and ground <br /> tackle reconditioned as necessary and set out to mark the <br /> channels in Little River and Popponesset Bay. <br /> Speeding and water skiing in restricted areas always pre- <br /> sent problems and complaints. It is mostly a matter of edu- <br /> cating the newcomers to the boating world. <br /> The channel from Waquoit Bay into Little and Great <br /> Rivers is in real need of re-dredging. It's been about 12 years <br /> since it was done, and it has lasted a lot longer than some <br /> of the experts thought it would.
