The Cape Cod <br /> Standard Times published many stories, and a magazine, <br /> the Cape-Cod Compass, ran an article on the background of <br /> the Mashpee Indians. <br /> All in all, it is felt that there has been a great awakening <br /> of interest in Mashpee's Indian heritage on the part of its <br /> long-time residents and its new-comers. The Centennial <br /> helped to bring everyone together in a common sense of <br /> pride over the town's history.
